who's your pick to win it all?
i'm partial to my rangers, and i think they may have a solid chance with the additions of wade redden and markus naslund, but i'm a realist....here are my favorites in order
1. redwings (adding hossa to that team? not fair)
2. penguins (syd + malkin + staal = 3 best Cs in the league, no time off for opponents)

a week ago 90% of the talking heads were saying the Cowboys were not making the playoffs and that it would be either TB, ATL, or PHI (and to watch out for PHI to be a super bowl contender). this morning on Mike & Mike they were going down a list of super bowl contenders saying "yes" or "no." It is absurd that England is ranked above teams like Argentina and Portugal. How can a team that failed to qualify for last summer's European Cup be mentioned in the same breath as these two teams? England has a very talented team, but beating up on sub par teams in World Cup qualifying and an undermanned Croatia team does not validate a #5 ranking.

I always thought Cuban was a great owner because he of his aggressiveness, his youth, his energy, his risk taking.... but now with the SEC coming after him i have lost tons of respect for him. The mavs are doing terrible and theres no way they'll sell the cubbies to him.

Every Olympics, the host country has the option of adding a single event to the Olympics roster, provided that there is enough national competition to make decent competition. (Thats why Softball was axed, though the Americans Ironically lost in an event they dominated so much it got removed)

Lets go Lakeland!! My highschool's up against wayne hills for the championship.. Wayne hills has won something like 4 in a row.. Lakeland has won 1 ever which was my senior year, in 2 trips to the finals... I hate wayne hills with a burning passion.. both teams are 11-0 tho so this should be good.

SHOW SOME LOVE FOR THE 'SKINS!!!! They just beat the supposed best team in the NFL on the road and somehow they are not s top ten team. I absolutely despise the 'Skins as a Giants fan, but I do believe they can beat any of the top ten teams on any given today. And btw its time for the Cowboys to fall out of the top spot.

sox/rays- sox have way too much experience for the young rays to overcome...plus look at that sox pitching staff, jesus christ they're good lol....when you can put out matsuzaka, beckett, lester and wakefield in successive games thats not fair

All NFL Fines for late hits, and or player safety should be used to pay for all the ex players who have medical problems to do playing in the nfl. That would truly show that they care about player safety

Apparently, informal talks began regarding adding another team in Toronto. I think that's a GREAT idea. To create an innercity rivalry in a place where hockey is life? Brilliant. I personally have no interest in the Mapleleafs, but I would most definitely watch these two teams battle it out every chance I could.

Out 3-4 months. What will the Devils do with Weekesy? Will they fair well without Marty - I doubt it.
If I was the Devils, I would make a big move for a netminder - maybe move Clemmensen.
I think if the Devils wanna stay in the run for the next 3-4 months, their goaltending better be sharp because their scoring has been down bottom in the NHL the last few years.

I couldn't imagine a better way for Beckham to keep motivated and enjoy the game -- rather than training all summer long to play for a bottom feeder team in a bottom feeder league, he will play on a top class team in a top class league (or at least train with, as he did with Arsenal before). this will keep him happy and most importantly, in top form for England during the qualifiers a

The Rangers gave up 5 agianst Toronto in the 3rd and 2 agianst the Isles. They played very well for about 50 minutes in both games. Should we be worried about this pattern?

With the Giants and Titans the obvious top 2 teams in the league, who is 3rd?
The Panthers have the next best record, but have looked shaky in back to back games against the bottom feeding Raiders and Lions.
The Cardinals are a sexy choice with all that offense, but I have doubts about thier defense and ability to run the football, this week against the Giants should tell alot.

Though neither team had a full starting roster, England beating Germany (yet again on the road) 2-1 is the start of a new "statue-less era" for the Lions. Germany did play Klose, Schweinsteiger, Gomez and Podolski throughout the game, while England started only Terry and Manchester City man Wright-Phillips. Many fans have been pleading for a change. After Liverpool won the Champions League against Milan they didn't even finish in a qualifying position in the EPL! Everton, who finished 4th and in qualifying position, had to give up their seat to the tournament for what I call the "Liverpool" rule. As long as you win it, you have a seat booked. MUFC might not finish in the top 4, so who will be the unfortunate team this

They have a rough schedule to end the season. The Panthers/Bucs/Falcons/Vikings etc could slip into both wildcard spots by default! The NFC East already have the toughest competition within their division. Playing the AFC North doesn't help at all, either!
